Restore your Immune System & Blood

Morning beautiful people! yes we still dealing with our immune issues here!  🙂

The spleen is the largest organ in the lymphatic system. It is an important organ for keeping bodily fluids balanced.

The spleen plays multiple supporting roles in the body. It acts as a filter for blood as part of the immune system. Old red blood cells are recycled in the spleen, and platelets and white blood cells are stored there. The spleen also helps fight certain kinds of bacteria that cause pneumonia and meningitis.

Chinese medicine for IBS is to relieve the Liver Qi Stasis, strengthen the Spleen Qi, harmonize the Liver and Spleen Zang, and eliminate the Dampness or Damp-Heat. People with irritable bowel syndrome often respond well to acupuncture, herbal medicine or Qi Gong.

Spleen Deficiency Diet tips:

  • The spleen like regular meals & needs downtime, constant snacking & gazing will make its deficiency worse
  • Unchewed food imposes heavy burden so chew your food
  • Light exercise on daily basis is very important and a walk after a meal will improve digestion and overall health.
  • If you suffer from phlegm or dampness (according to TCM) you might want to eliminate dairy from your diet.

Food that damage the spleen:

  • Sweet foods, in TCM sweet foods enter the spleen, & too much of it damages the spleen. These foods include all grains, fruits, candies & pastries.
  • Unhealthy fast, fried foods & most vegetable oils.
